Your Data & Privacy Controls

The Privacy settings page lets you control how your data is collected and stored, and gives you the right to request a full export of everything associated with your account.

Navigate to Settings → Privacy (or go directly to /settings/privacy) to access these controls.


Privacy Preferences

Analytics opt-out

Toggle "Analytics opt-out" to stop usage analytics from being collected for your account. When enabled, your browsing and activity data will no longer be used for platform analytics.

Extended data retention opt-out

Toggle "Extended data retention opt-out" to request that your data is deleted as soon as the minimum retention period expires. By default, the platform retains account data for a period after account closure; enabling this opt-out shortens that window to the legal minimum.


Requesting a Data Export

Under California law (CCPA — California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about your account.

What's included

Your export package contains:

  • Profile information — name, email, and account details
  • Activity history — logins, actions, and audit trail
  • Listings — any job listings you have created or managed
  • Application data — submissions and associated records

How to request an export

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy.
  2. Scroll to the Data Export card.
  3. Click "Request Data Export".
  4. An admin will review your request. You will receive an email notification when your export is ready to download.

Note: Exports are encrypted and available for download for 7 days after they are approved. After 7 days the download link expires and you will need to submit a new request.

Request limits

You can submit up to 2 export requests per month. The current limit is shown as a badge on the Data Export card.


Export History

The Export History card shows all previous export requests along with their current status:

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to receive my export?
Export preparation time depends on the size of your account data and admin review queue. Most requests are fulfilled within 1–2 business days.

Is my export file secure?
Yes. All export files are encrypted before they are made available for download. Only you (via your authenticated account) can access the download link.

What if I need my data sooner than the review process allows?
Contact your platform administrator or submit a support request explaining your urgency.

Does opting out of analytics delete my existing data?
Opting out stops future collection. To request deletion of previously collected data, use the Data Export feature to confirm what we hold, then contact support to request deletion under CCPA.

I'm outside California — can I still use these controls?
Yes. These privacy controls are available to all users on the platform, regardless of location.
