CRM Tags

Tags are color-coded labels you apply to organizations to categorize them, enable fast filtering, and surface groups of related employers in reports and workflows.

Tag List

The Tags page shows every tag defined in the system with its name, color, and description. Tags are global — once created here, they can be assigned to any organization from the organization's detail page.

Creating a Tag

Click New Tag to open the create form:

FieldDescription
NameShort label (e.g. "Hot Lead", "VIP", "Renewal Due")
ColorPick a color to distinguish this tag visually in lists
DescriptionOptional — explains when the tag should be used

Click Save to create the tag. It becomes available immediately for assignment on organization pages.

Editing a Tag

Click the edit icon on any tag row to update its name, color, or description inline. Changes apply immediately across all organizations that have the tag assigned.

Deleting a Tag

Click the delete icon and confirm. Deleting a tag removes it from all organizations it was assigned to. This action cannot be undone.

Tip: If you want to stop using a tag without losing the history of where it was applied, rename it to something like "Archived: [old name]" instead of deleting it.

Assigning Tags to Organizations

Tags are not assigned from this page. To assign a tag to an organization:

  1. Navigate to Admin → Organizations
  2. Open the organization's detail page
  3. Go to the CRM tab
  4. Use the Tag Manager panel to search for and apply tags

An organization can have multiple tags. Tags appear on organization list rows, pipeline kanban cards, and in the analytics breakdown.

Using Tags in Workflows

Tags can trigger automated workflows. For example, you can create a workflow that fires when a specific tag is added to an organization — automatically creating a task, sending a notification, or updating a field.

See CRM Workflows for setup instructions.
